A Mental Health Wellness Site for First Responders

Since 2024, The Irons Foundation has been dedicated to promoting the mental health, wellness, and resilience of first responders and their families. We understand the unique challenges faced by those who serve on the frontlines and the profound impact on their loved ones. Through mental health resources, holistic wellness approaches and peer support groups., we provide tools that strengthen both the individual and the family unit. Our services include access to evidence-based therapies and stress management techniques. Our mission is to foster a culture where first responders and their families feel supported, valued, and empowered to live balanced, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

How we help

We provide comprehensive support resources for first responders, both in times of crisis and for long-term well-being. Our services include wellness and peer support, crisis intervention and therapist referrals, peer support. Whether facing a critical incident or managing work trauma and family balance, we are dedicated to ensuring first responders receive the care and support they need to thrive.

Wellness Support

Peer support is truly wellness support, providing first responders with a foundation for resilience and overall well-being. Our Front Bumper Conversations are designed specifically for first responders, offering a safe, judgment-free space to talk about the challenges they face. These discussions aren’t just about processing “bad calls” but also about managing the daily stressors that come with the job—family dynamics, workplace pressures, and personal struggles. By normalizing these conversations, we help first responders maintain their mental and emotional health, ensuring they are supported both on and off the job.

Therapist Referrels

Finding the right therapist is crucial for first responders, as they need someone who truly understands the unique challenges of the job. That’s why we personally know every therapist we refer first responders to, ensuring they specialize in first responder mental health and PTSD. We don’t just hand over a name and send you on your way—we take the time to match you with the right person for your needs and follow up to make sure the connection is working. Our goal is to provide trusted, tailored support so you can get the help you deserve from someone who genuinely understands your experiences.

CISM Response

Our certified CISM staff has built strong connections and trust with many first responders, which is critical in times of crisis. We understand the stigma that, unfortunately, still surrounds seeking mental health support, and we work to break down those barriers. Most importantly, we are completely confidential, providing a safe and trusted space where first responders can seek help without fear of judgment. Whether in a moment of crisis or for ongoing support, we are here to ensure they get the care they need while protecting their privacy
